LI: to create a persuasive advertisement.
For writing we were learning about persuasive text we had to do this
slide its called describing things the first slide we were doing desserts
we had to write describing words first we had to write single words
then we write sentences. For the second slide we were talking about
a flower its called dahlia flower the third one is called a tiger.

inquiry

LI: to learn how to make simple machine  

For inquiry we were learning about pulley we had to do the 

definitions we had to make a pulley and test it out how to do it

is first you get two sticks and three people one person has to 

be on the other stick and the two has to be the other stick 

do loops around the stick we had to add three loops one 

person has to pull the extra rope and try and bring the 

two people on the stick then we had to name what has pulley.

Area and perimeter

LI: learn what area and perimeter.
For math`s we were learning about area and perimeter we had to measure shapes and do the area and perimeter and we done it we had to measure square things we measure our chrome books books
bingo and wood blocks.

Main idea

LI: to comprehend and answer what questions.
For reading we were learning about main ideas we did this slide its called what questions.
we learnt many kinds of words one was s,will,ing first we had to add clues to the
broken water then we did the race it has to ask a questions the third one
is will this is future it said what happening now.

LI: to focus more not get distracted.
We learned how to not get distracted. Distracted means to fall out of focus. Many
things can distract us like people talking or physically annoying each other. To learn
about distractions we played a called Distraction circle how to play the game a person
has to be in the middle of the circle and the people around them has to distract the person
in the middle.

Today I commented on Taua I read his it was a very good blog post.
 he was doing his Math`s blog post some of his spelling was not

For inquiry we were learning about incline plane we had to watch

For writing we wrote persuasive speech first we did our opinion

we had to pick a sport,food and characters. Then we had to write 

our reason 3 reason.     

Math`s

LI: we learn what area and perimeter.

For math`s we learning about area and perimeter we had to make boxes 

and we follow the instructions  to know what to draw then we had to 

add all the the square in the boxes then we had to add all the squares 

and plus them and time them. With area and perimeter.

LI.To learn persuasive speeches. 

For writing we a professional speech judge come from Tamaki college to see who had the best poem and speech skills for the finals.

My favorite speech was Fau's because she was talking about mental health and w hat came happen if it doesn't stop. One thing I learnt was to talk about how they feel when they are feeling sad or depressed. 

My favorite poem was Malasi's. His poem was about a kite and flying it night and day. He was confident, had good eye contact and pronounced the words properly. 

After the poems and speeches the judge Stevenson marked the top 3 poems and speeches for year 1 to 3 then 4 to 6 and last 7 and 8.  

Malas'i came 2nd for 1 to 3 in the poem finals and for the speech Fau came 1st for the year 5 and 6 speech. 

swimming

LI: to water safety.
For kiwi sport we did swimming we were learning about rotations.We were in livvy`s group we had to go through a hula hoop we learnt it many ways like stream line reach rescue how to do reach rescue is you have needle and you need a partner to yell help! then you pulled them back up.For the hula hoop we had to do a stream line through the hula hoop then we learnt how to float on our with our hands up in the air yelling help!.

Main idea

LI: to identify the main ideas in a book.
For reading we did main ideas we had to read a book then we had to
find the key words to make a main ideas we had to read the hole book
there are many section we had to share the link name the book title.

Cybersmart

LI: to apply the print design rules.
For Cyber-smart we did print design rules we had to fix a poster.
The area of print design rules are color text layout and compositions
the first one we had to fix was the color for this one there was different
colors like pink text box`s. The second slide we had to fix was text
there was different fonts, small text and big texts the third slide we
fix was layout there was like photos passing the line and white spaces.
 The last one we fix was compositions there was a lot of white spaces
we had to add photos.

kiwi can

This week we had kiwi can our theme is called resilience and our topic is self discipline.

For our activity we had to find a group we did different challenges. The challenge we did 

were hard we had to change our catch phrase the second challenge was five push ups five sit ups 

five squats and fives burpes. The third challenge was finding the Maori names for the color`s

the last one was writing the abc`s backwards.

For inquiry we were learning about wheel,axle and lever. we had to write a definitions of a lever and a wheel and axle. we had to use a toy car for our example then we had to make 

a wheel we had to follow the instruction to make a wheel. For the lever we had draw a example of a lever we had to write like how easy it is.

Swimming

LI: to learn water safety and swimming skills.
For kiwi sport we had swimming. First we learned streamline then we learned how to float on our back with swimming board then we learned how to keep our body straight some steps were
hard for us. Our instructor name was called Livvy then we learned how to rotation with the board
the last thing we learned was called kicking on back with board.

This week we went to Motat we go split in to groups. First we went to the shops there was old toys
Then we went to the fire apartment there old metals and fire trucks. Then we vised a old water pump
it was deep at the bottom then we went to the cars there many cars.

For writing we did a persuasive text we had to make a comment.

swimming/kiwi sport

LI: Floating on back with and without the board.
For kiwi sport we did swimming we learnt how to back float
kicking with are arms we the water was kind of deep we
use swimming boards to help us swim and we learnt.
