SLJ

Kowhaiwhai is type of maori art.

First we had to watch the video first to know what to do.

Second we made a copy of this google draw.

Lastly we had to change the background then copy and paste the Kowhaiwhai.

    Fiona here again from the Summer Learning Journey. What an awesome kowhaiwhai pattern you have made! I really like the bright blue tones you have used in the background and the way your koru pattern flows - ka pai!

    Did you enjoy this activity and learning about Tānerore? I thought it was really interesting.

    I hope you have been having lots of fun doing the activities for the summer learning journey over the holidays. I think your kowhaiwhai looks great. I did this activity too but I drew mine on paper and I tried to make it look like a face. Is there any meaning behind your kowhaiwhai? If there is what is it?
